The School

In the Early Years, our personalised, play-based continuous provision ensures students are rigorously assessed against the EYFS framework, developing strong foundations for future learning. In Primary, pupils benefit from a broad and enriching curriculum, including a range of non-core subjects. In Secondary, students complete IGCSEs in Year 11 before progressing to the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) in Years 12 and 13. The Post: Geography Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physical Geography specialist to join a dynamic and enthusiastic department and help continue the positive trajectory of GCSE and IB results. The successful candidate will be highly committed with a strong track record for attainment and progress as well as possessing genuine enthusiasm for Geography. You will join a successful department and help shape and deliver engaging lessons to all students. Experience teaching IB Geography is not essential, but desirable. Experience teaching Environmental Systems and Societies at IB is not essential but is also highly desirable as the success candidate may be expected to teach this subject. The successful candidate may also contribute to the delivery of the UAE social studies curriculum utilising their skills and understanding of global economic development

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

• Experience teaching GCSE Geography is essential and A Level/IB Experience is desirable.
• A B.Ed. or degree in a related subject and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
• A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• A mind-set which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.
• Experience which will enable a contribution to our enriched curriculum programme.
